For years I’ve had this itch: Every time I meet an outstanding woman of God, I just have to ask her to go to coffee with me so I can interview her. That’s right: I think of all these questions to ask her about her life, relationships, walk with God, etc., and I just lay them out one after the other. When I get home, I journal anything she said that really stuck in my mind or gave me insight into how to become a woman of God.
Sometimes I get confused as to what godly women look like in today’s world. I want to see a steadfast example and know what her secrets are. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who feels confused from time to time, as I’ve heard many of my friends say, “I need a mentor. I don’t know how to be a woman of God. I still feel like a teenager spiritually.”
In a sense, these blogs are one way to give you a glimpse into the lives of many different women of God. These ladies are all different ages, in all different places of life and relationship statuses, with all different dreams. Some are grandmas, moms, 20-somethings, newly weds, singles, in a career, self-employed, full-time moms, in college, between college and jobs, from the USA, living overseas, and so on and so forth. They’re a diverse group, but the one thing they all have in common is that their lives are a strong example of what a woman of God looks like.
Every other week you’ll get to meet another one of the girls through a new devotional and profile. The one criterion I asked these ladies to include in their devotionals is honesty. I wanted something personal and transparent, something they are currently walking through or recently struggled with. I’ve also asked each one to share a secret tip for living life as a woman of God. I hope you are encouraged by these pictures of their lives, and that through this blog you find further insight into how to walk as a woman of God in today’s world.
How these blogs are set up: I write a quick intro of my thoughts to prep you for their devo (cause I just can’t stop writing or talking…EVER), then I give you a brief bio on the woman, then you get to read her profile (favorite color, most dangerous thing she’s ever done, life ambitions, etc.), then you get to read her devotional. If she have a blog site, I attach it at the end of her devotional. It’s pretty awesome. So what are you waiting for? Go check it out!!
