Welcome, Autumn!

Autumn is here, and here to stay!

I can feel it in the air. In the warm sunlight masked by a cool breeze. In the smell of the apple orchards.

Today my friend Jill and I dragged a red wagon through an apple orchard, munching as we hunted for the sweetest apples, crunching into their luscious skin. The sun tanned my skin as the breeze played games with my hair. I could have flown away, my soul felt so alive and free and open.

Autumn, welcome! I always forget how much I love you; I’m too busy mourning the loss of summer.

But today I remembered.

I love your vibrancy, your perfume of fallen leaves, your dichotomy of cool warmth. I’m so happy to see you again!
